CANCER TREATMENT
The risk of developing digestive and urinary tract cancer in India, even though postulated to be moderate to low, is steadily on a rise in the recent years. This may partly be due to increased life expectancy together with adaptation of western habits. Also use and availability of modern diagnostic tools have resulted in catching these demonic diseases at an early and treatable stage. The present health system in India is woefully inadequate to provide cancer care for the population.

Building on its success in the management of digestive and kidney diseases in general, PSRI has instituted a specialized cancer center to provide a comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer center including preventive therapeutic and palliative care under one roof and importantly at an affordable cost.

Based on our areas of specialization, PSRI Cancer Center shall provide care to patients with digestive and Urinary tract Cancer. In each specialty multidisciplinary management shall be provided by a team comprising of specialized clinicians, trained surgeons, radiologists, medical oncologists and pathologists who would evaluate the available clinical information and decide in the best mode of treatment. A unique feature of this integrated facility is the availability of an expert clinical psychologist and counselor.
